As soon as June begins every year, a debate kicks within every family or friend-group about whether to spend summer vacation in Sahel or in Gouna. Many young people and mostly Gen-Z’s will prefer to spend summer by the beaches of Gouna. Unlikely, Millennials and older age groups find Sahel as their comfort zone. The question here is: On what basis do people decide they prefer Sahel over Gouna or vice versa? Here’s the full guide to which summer destination suits you better.

IF YOU WANNA ENJOY THE SWIM: GOUNA

While some people enjoy the North Coast’s sea, others find swimming in it suicidal. If you’re one of those who wanna float on the water without worrying about the waves, then Gouna is the perfect destination for you.

IF YOU HAVE FOMO: SAHEL

People who wanna feel included are more likely to be Sahel people. Yes, Gouna is growing popular in recent years, but Sahel will remain top preference to most people. If you look through your friend group or your family relatives, you’ll find at least 80% of them spending summer by the beaches of North Coast. Packing for Gouna might be a bit risky if you have fear of missing out.

NIGHTLIFE IN GOUNA IS A WHOLE DIFFERENT STORY

People who are considerate with nightlife when deciding where to spend their summer vacation will probably end up choosing Gouna. Yes, Sahel’s nightlife has grown intense recently, however, it can barely compete with that of Gouna.

YOU’RE NOSTALGIC: GO TO SAHEL

Some people feel nostalgic once they hit Sahel’s road. Spending most of the summers in Sahel, you can find it hard to imagine summer elsewhere.

MANY HOT SPOTS: SAHEL

In Sahel, there’s almost zero chance to feel bored. Whether you’re looking for a new beach to spend the day at or a different spot to party all night at, Sahel never runs out of hot spots.

IF YOU’RE STAYING FOR LONGER THAN A WEEK: SAHEL

For long trips, Sahel sounds perfect. However, if you’re planning a one-week-or-more trip to Gouna, you have to be aware of the fact that you may eventually feel bored.

Happy summer, whether you’re in Sahel or Gouna!
